Our Activities

CEREMONIES

Our school gives importance to the students’ personal development and aims to bring up children who have assimilated Atatürkism and equip them with the knowlege, skills and values that are needed for modern life.  We create an environment which fosters these aims and students are given the opportunity to self – realize.  In this respect, on certain days or weeks, our students participate in ceremonies or celebrations.  By taking part in such functions, our students prioritize their nationalism and respect their social values.

READING DAYS

Our first grade students create books by writing a story of their own interest and illustrate the pages.  They present the books to their parents on Reading Day. 

PORTFOLIO DAYS

Our kindergarten, first, second and third grade students have a portfolio folder which help us keep track of their progress throughout the year. On Portfolio Day, students present their portfolios to their parents.  Our fourth grade students also have a portfolio folder. However, they present their portfolios to students in different grade levels.

INVITING AUTHORS AS GUEST SPEAKERS

Students get a chance to meet the authors of the books they have read throughout the year.   Each grade level gets to meet a different author.  During the meetings, the authors share their thoughts about the joy and the importance of reading.     

 INVITING EXPERTS AS GUEST SPEAKERS

Meetings with experts from different professions are held for each grade level in accordance to their lesson objectives.  These meetings aim to establish the students’  educational, social and cultural development.  

BOOK FESTIVAL

Our students read various books throughout the year and prepare various products concerning the books that they have read.  They do this project individually or in groups.  They create booklets, write fairytales, stories and poems and present them to their peers and parents during the Book Festival.  

RADIO PROGRAMS

Once a week, our students do a live radio program which gives them the opportunity to express themselves and develop their social skills.  

ENGLISH DRAMA

Our fourth grade students get a chance to develop their acting and language skills during the English Drama Club rehearsals.  The students who attend the club act out a play or a musical chosen by their English teachers at the end of the year.  They also participate in the Drama Festival held in Ankara.  

TURKISH DRAMA

During the rehearsals of the Turkish Drama Club, our students have the opportunity to develop their body language, creativity, gestures, mimics as well as their role play, improvisation, imitation, intonation, dancing and speaking skills.  Moreover, the students get a chance to learn both Turkish and World Classics through stories and fairytales.

ART DAYS

On Art Days, our students display their artwork and products concerning culture.

• Drama Performances

INTERSCHOLASTIC COMPETITIONS

Sports has a positive impact on our students’ education.  In this respect, we form school teams and encourage our students to take part in interscholastic competitions.

TOURNAMENTS AND COMPETITIONS HELD AT SCHOOL

Our school organizes intramural tournaments and competitions which help students use their free time effectively and develop their social skills. 

THE ATATÜRK RUN

Our school organizes the Atatürk Run which is a part of one of the activities done during Atatürk Week and Republic Day, 29th of October. Students take part in the Atatürk Run to show their devotion and gratitude to Atatürk.

THE SPORTS FESTIVAL

We organize a Sports Festival to reward our students who have represented our school and our province in interscholastic sports competitions as well as our student athletes who have participated in our ceremonies and celebrations.

KINDERGARTEN END OF YEAR SHOW

Each year in June, our kindergarten students display their knowledge and skills that they have learnt throughout the year to their parents by performing on stage.

FAMILY ACTIVITY DAY

In kindergarten, activities are planned for each semester to bring our students and parents together at school.  With the collaboration of all the departments, the families and their children get a chance to experience the school environment.
